It’s been a long week, so you think to yourself- maybe i’ll take the family to a movie on Saturday. Maybe we’ll even go on a vacation soon! We could visit museums and go to plays and see all sorts of fun attractions. When you turned the TV on, nothing happened. There are no actors to entertain you. When you went to the movie theater, nothing was showing. There were no advertisements to tell you that anything was showing, so you went to the theater to find out. Nothing playing. There is no one to film and create movies for you. Well at least your vacation will be fun, right? Not like there will be any plays to see and there won’t be anything in the art museums. Well at least you have the shack you are living in that you made out of cardboard and sheets. Not like you could find an architect to build you a house with all the money you’re making as an engineer.  Is this for real? HOW ABOUT FUCKING NO! I think this is actually everything I have ever been interested in doing. And I am currently studying an Advanced Diploma of Commercial Arts in Graphic Design… Which by the way is definitely not useless because someone who studied that would have designed the layout of this list and that NBC logo in the corner. Fuck whoever wrote this list. As a Creative Director, high-five to the comment above. Proof that the art of bringing creativity and beauty into a world sometimes lacking, is underappreciated. Why discourage furthering a special talent that defines some people? Beyond the beauty of Mother Nature, the world can be ugly enough as is. It would be hard to exist in a society where no one pursued the arts. And I wouldn’t want to be in it. :::hugs MFA::: I do the things I do because I love it. And there is no other way for me to spend my life than enjoying it. So I’ll accept my Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Art with a focus on Musical Theatre in October with more pride than anyone can imagine. Because if it was a business degree I was getting, you bet I’d be the next Jack the Ripper, acting out because I hate my life so god damn much.
